Discussion What is your favorite magical girl outfit?

Mine's probably Sailor Moon's or Chibiusa's by technicality of being my favorite color.

I don't know if I have a favorite, but I guess I'm partial to Fate's outfit, because it seems made for function. Fate's not going to get tangled up in her outfit while swinging around scythe or sword, or flying around flipping around in mid-air. That being said, I feel that her incredibly long pigtails would get in the way, and she'd probably be fighting with her leggings all the time too.

It makes me wonder how tight the fit is on those leggings would have to be to prevent then from slacking during heavy athletics and combat.

I also wonder if they are perhaps a wrap, and those yellow clasps we see here are meant to secure them closed after they're pulled taut? Sometimes I read into design choices, especially with regards to fashion.


That being said, I'm a sucker for characters kicking butt while looking fabulous. It is unrealistic to me in the same way that a fire breathing dragon is. Yes, that big heavy creature shouldn't be able to fly! ....But it's much funner than everyone having a military style buzzcut to be strictly safe and sensible in close combat. So I give them a bit of leeway as long as the clothes themselves look nice.
