Urd's Sake House was originally a concept by my good friend of the Internet, Zionia. Back when I had my first website, in 2005, he had joined my site and created this place-- as a devoted fan of Ah! My Goddess, in fact it was he who introduced me to the realm of Ah! My Goddess. Anyway, I was just starting out with Play by Post role playing on a forum back then, and he created this relaxing place to just.... let loose. Explore alternative personalities in here. There's absolutely no judgements here. We don't have to worry about breaking anything or getting sick, because everything here is fictitious, even the alcohol!
Imagine this is a typical medieval style Inn or bar. Lots of wood, torches, live music. Even though I don't believe we really ever moved away from the standard dining area, it would not surprise me if there was an upper level designated for the drunks to sleep off their inhibitions. After all, we are dealing with fictions personalities and anime characters. Chaos is sure to ensue.
I'll be the first to admit that I really don't know what I'm doing with this. My experience is with role playing standard characters, but this is a unique place in that you can just invent characters and stuff on the fly-- like as if you have magic! I have no doubts that I'll be screaming into the Void until more people decide to join up and play. So we'll just keep things pretty light. That means that we'll embrace comedy, bizarre, and weird, okay?
Although, my first post in here was long form and mostly narrative, Iwanted needed to create a setting if nothing else, for myself. I needed a new plot, a break from the original-- which was lost many years ago. What I have is a "reprint" from the Way Back Machine, safely stored in my own archives. If you choose to interact within this realm, you don't need to write long passages, as I have. A simple sentence will be fine. You can even create Linked Accounts to post as (something that I may do shortly anyway.) This is a game that may not vibe for everybody. It's not meant to be completely separate from the real world. We can talk politics and religion in here. We can blow each other to smithereens too. Just know that nobody actually dies here. Feel free to use own bits of your own personality-- exaggerated. Bring in your favorite anime characters-- how would they act as drunkards? Mix and match to your heart's content. Don't worry about "abandoning" any characters or personalities. Just... kind of forget about them. This is a realm that lives in the now. Because really, who actually reads a role play from the beginning, especially a long one? Probably nobody. People don't really have the energy or time to commit to such an activity in 2026.

This is a freelance RPG. The rules are very short and simple.
1- Have fun!
2- Post what characters you plan to use. They should not all be anime characters...give a little thought and make someone up.
3- Your characters don't need a full profile. Just a name and what they do will work.
4- Please refrain from lighting the bar on fire anymore...the insurance company wont compensate for fires anymore.
5- You can bring other characters in at any time.
6- You can make the plot go anywhere, but try to keep it simple so anyone can just hop on.
7- You can play other peoples characters, but please make sure you know how they would act before doing so. (eg don't borrow Belldandy and have her doing demonic activities without proper explanation).
8- Don't kill anyone off. Have them severely injured and end up in the hospital if you want to remove them from the game. Somewhere later down the line, it may be nice to bring them back for fun.
9- Please do your best to spell things so they are at least understandable...its hard to RP (role play) off of someone when you have no idea what they just did or said.
That pretty much does it..have fun, get drunk, be merry, and follow dem rules and we will all get along fine...hopefully!
