Rice balls are the Japanese equivalent of the American sandwich. They have a multitude of purposes toward satisfying hunger and are just as versatile in flavorings. Basically you cook rice as you normally would, then while the rice is still warm (you'll want to wet your hands), take a large scoop of rice in the cup of your palm, make an intention with your thumb, place whatever meat, veggies, and seasonings, then take another scoop of rice, and dome it with your other hand, smush the two rice cups together and roll into a ball in your hands! This is an easy recipe that even children can do!
