Idea! Cyber-Space

I'm really wanting to try a game of GURPS. I've got a rough idea for a character that's a heavily modified version of a ShadowRunner I made a few years ago. But before I can design the character, I need to build the world and setting.

I've always been a fan of the hi-tech world. Cyberpunk and Space Opera only seem natural here. So, I want to create a galactic dystopian dumpster fire the fuses the settings of Star Trek and Star Wars with Star Gate SG-1 as the primary world. Super highly advanced, like year 3000 stuff. Nanotech, anything goes. Take your typical Cyberpunk setting and promote it into a galactic stage.

The characters, a ragtag group of misfits who some benevolent Organizer collects to travel from world to world, saving.... something-or-other (I'm really not sure yet), but of course, the characters are going to be anime-centric. Just over the top insane.

Like I want to make a tech-ed out catgirl dressed in nano-weaved clothing that can change configuration just by thought. She'd be a combination hacker/cover ops-pilot (because, everybody needs to be able to save the day in some bastardization of an X-Wing fighter, right? And I'm not sure if she's gonna have magical powers, although that would be pretty epic!, or if she's just going in guns blazing...like an anti-tank bazooka. And of course, she'd be child-like with pigtails and a complete psychopath who wants to literally destroy fascists.

I'd say it's precisely what we need in this day and age. Some of my favorite settings have been those that blend space travel with the aesthetic of high technology.

Now that I've mulled it over, have you looked into Phantasy Star? It might be right up your alley.

Time and time again the architect who created cyborgs was trying to fix what he had broken and now has created something that he has no control over by making the machines have its own main central brain alot worse than cyborgs! They are in form of land creatures, sea and air all working together, and are up to something, no one knows what, but you always see them marching together in flocks, and from a birds eyes view you see the sea creatures all coming together even the ones that are not machines. They just keep growing! Will anyone get to the bottom of this many have tried! All we do...

long ago before man knew time and space their was a collective of humanoids that was on mission to bring the humans up to date a form of enlightenment to the humans the cave men was the first to be enlightened by these humanoids to discovered a know threat in space that is attacking earth and sending meteors showers to wipe out all life on earth but the cave men was the first to fight back but many years later it grew darker but then a light came.
