If you've ever wanted to wield a magical weapon in one hand, while clutching a security stuffy in the other, or deliver a snarky one-liner while obliterating enemies with a rocket launcher, this game is for you! Be here for the laughs, the action, or the chance to explore a world where magic breaks all the rules, and save the Planet from certain destruction all while figuring out what to wear to the next school dance! Are you a Magical Misfit? If so, let's TRANSFORM and GO!

This is an idea where you play as a typical high school student, and you're drafted to become a magical girl (not necessarily as a girl though). This is a game meant to be filled to the brim with absurd humor, awesome adventure, and generally being the good guys (or girls) who save the day. (I know, cliche.)

I figure that you'll either choose or randomly generate a special ability-- that could be superbly over-powered, or pathetically stupid and seemingly useless. Your new job, part of the adventure is to figure out not only how to use your power for good, but how to use it responsibility so that you don't end up destroying everything around you. Because somehow, you're totally invulnerable to self-destruction...

I'm considering possibly pulling out my copy of Maid or perhaps even Toon for this game, but Teenagers From Outerspace is also capturing my eye. Then again, I may decide to just use GURPS but thinking about my library of game systems, maybe the best system to use is actually Magical Fury (Magical Blast)?

Thinking some more about this, I have a cast of NPCs and a bit of setting in mind.

You're part of a secret military organization, like Black Ops, Delta Force kinda stuff. You're headquartered in the middle of nowhere in the basement of a military installation. The official mission for your team is "Distraction Antics", however, you're not told that. Instead, you're briefed that what you do is of the utmost importance. As a result, when you're deployed, usually a disaster of chaos ensues.

The cast of NPCs:
  • Commander Quinn Harper. An older man in his late 50s. Modeled after Jack O'Neil (from Stargate SG-1), but with a twist. When invoking his magical powers, he transforms into a hot babe with golden blond locks of hair. His specialty is Time Manipulation, and is a coffee addict.
  • Lieutenant Commander Matilda Weber, a young woman (like, she doesn't look a day over 12) from somewhere deep inside of Germany. She's the embodiment of goth and emo. Wears black, and loves the color crimson. Rumor has it she looks so young because she's actually a vampire. Her specialty is Necromancy (duh) and her toys involve Heavy Weapons. The bigger the boom, the more she giggles.
  • Lieutenant Avery Fairchild III, the wealthy 26 year-old child of somebody important, specializes in technology. She's also a Technomancer, Hacker, Mechanical Genius, and over-flowing in nerdiness. As a result, she's rather tom-boyish, dresses the part, and always has her face either buried in a book or in her smartphone-- when she's not building something that can obliterate a small country of the face of the planet.
  • Lieutenant Jr. Grade Kai Hart, the gender-fluid 23 year old who rivals even Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, and probably even other fictional characters like Ranma Saotome. They just happened to be a the wrong spot at the wrong time, and was sort of adopted into his current position. Kai is also a master of disguise and will spontaneously transform into a new outfit just because they feel like it.

And of course, my character, Ensign Hikari Amaterasu, recent graduate of the Military Academy. She's just a typical magical girl with nothing outlandishly special about her-- until she goes to use her magical abilities, which are normally way overkill. For example, you need her to spark a fireball? She'll create a supernova by accident. Her specialty is obviously light/solar based.
