I just found out about this, and while I'm not a fan of Elon Musk, I am a fan of anime, characterizations, and fictional anime characters in general, so I'm naturally curious to see what the Billionaire has cooked up. I went ahead and joined the wait list. I'm assuming it'll probably be months from when I'll be introduced to my newest anime buddy, and I will have probably forgotten all about this.
But, I'm also curious about others that might be willing to explore this tech. More over, I'm curious to how you might use something like this?
Unfortunately, Musk's affiliation is simply too much for me to stomach. Though there are quite a few other sites dedicated to roleplaying with "AI" chatbots. They can be a bit entertaining, though they don't have the uh... spark of life that humans do (They very much tell you what they think you want to hear and get confused), making them a tad boring in comparison in my opinion. Still, they're also undiscerning, and so it's sometimes fun to throw a scenario at them you aren't willing to throw at a human partner just to get it out of your head.
That and reading the hallucinations AI generates. And don't get me started on telling an AI to behave as a specific character, because when I was doing some creative writing exercises last year the characters being portrayed wouldn't do a quarter of the crap AI suggested. And we're talking about Excel here!
