Guidebook: AniMayhem!

Introductory Blurb

Do you like anime? Do you obsess over characters and chaos involving weird shenanigans? Of course you do! Enter the realm where the Laws of Physics are lightly enforced as mere guidelines! Mix and match your favorite anime, manga and original-concept characters into this bizarre blender of pathetic plot lines and dastardly destruction! Only your imagination can stop your quest for world domination! (That and a meteor strike or nuclear Armageddon, but who really cares about that?)

What Did I Just Get Invovled With?
Bascailly, what AniMayhem! consists of is just one big massive anime mashup. You may play any character from any anime, manga, or original creation (your imagination) in any of the Spaces constructed. Do you want to play Belldandy from Ah! My Goddess? No problem! Just post that you want to create the Space of Ah! My Goddess, and as soon as I can, I'll create it for everybody. Although you may claim a character, duplicates, clones, age-regressed/progressed versions are all welcome to attend. You may even take a character and retrofit your own alternative universe narrative upon them. Also note that just because you've decided to play Belldandy, she doesn't have to be restricted to the Ah! My Goddess Space. She could wander into the Space of Ranma 1/2, for example.

Game Play, Relaxed.
This Realm is a very loose and relaxed one. I, the Administrator can't possibly know every single anime or manga in existence, and I really don't want to know what that noodle of yours between your ears is thinking of. The way this will work is if you suggest an anime Space to be created, you shall be the Moderator of that space. I'm assuming that you know enough about the particular anime/manga to feel comfortable with maintaining its presence. After I get the Media Library extension purchased, I'll probably throw any associated movies related to the anime/manga that I can find. This being said, I don't want to see any flame wars about such-and-so character would never do this or that. We're here to have a playful bit of fun. Don't worry about Spoilers either. You accept the possibility that spoilage could be revealed by participating within this entire Realm.

Game Stalls, Characters Missing, and Unnecessary Delays:
Honestly, with the way this game is structured, I don't predict this being an issue. The presence of multiple copies of any character are possible, therefore, if a character stops responding, or becomes a Zombie, or simply vanishes, somebody else can feel free to fill those shoes. Multiple Spaces exist, so if a particular Space stalls, another one can be created. I will make an ruling here though. In the event a Space remains dormant for 30 days, then it is considered Breached and the chain of events will be considered reset. (This means that the thread/topic will be closed and locked.)

Quick and Dirty Rules:

1. Be mindful of the RPG Rating: 2/1/2. This means no outrightly foul profanity, sexualized nudity, and no killing/maiming, etc will be permitted.
2. There are no Face Claims. Somebody already claimed your favorite character? Too bad for them. Make another clone! Oh the CHAOS!
3. This game is closed to the Public. Only Members can see the contents of this game, therefore don't even attempt to advertise it. Feel free to mention it, but because it's not public, it violates the rules on just about every Directory site I've seen.

Creating Characters

So you want in on the fun? Are you sure? It's pretty crazy in there, ya know? Anyway here I'll outline the basic instructions for creating a character and getting involved with the game. As was stated, any anime or manga setting/world can be found here, as defined by their specific Spaces. Within each Space, you'll possibility see many different threads, or Plots. I reiterate this point because there may be multiple copies of the same characters in play. But don't let this deter you from playing your favorite character! Obviously, this only really matters if you're playing a Canon Character.

1. Declare that you're playing so-and-so character in the Cast & Crew Board.
2. Edit the form output as needed, include an image attachment if you want.
3. When you're satisfied, edit the Thread by clicking on the three dots (at the very top of the message post), and change the Tag to Pending.
4. When a Staff member marks your character as Approved, you may begin playing! Choose a Space and make a dramatic entrance (or not?).

Feel free to tweak a character-- Make them older or younger, give them a twin, make them slightly more unhinged or annoying... The point here is to have fun! Just remember, each Thread is a separate reality for these characters. Think of this as exploring the possibility of alternate universes or multiple timelines. When something happens in one Thread, it doesn't necessarily reflect in any of the others. If your character leaves a specific Thread, essentially, they start back as a base version of themselves (or whatever you have defined in your character sheet).

I also should point out that for clarity, please do not use any of the Site Defined Canon Characters within this game Realm. This will help to simplify some of the chaos, because I know I'm crazy, but I'm not that crazy. Right?
